Ohio State Graces the Cover of Sports Illustrated
The
annual college football preview edition of Sports Illustrated hits news stands
on August 11th and the Ohio State Buckeyes are featured on the
cover.

Five Regional Covers
First, don’t get too excited because the Buckeyes
weren’t the only team to be chosen for the cover. SI printed five regional
covers including covers with Georgia,
USC, Missouri and Florida. Todd Boeckman, James Laurinaitis
and Chris Wells were the players selected to represent the Buckeyes on the
regional cover.
Preseason Poll
SI has the Buckeyes ranked number two behind Georgia,
but in front of USC. They have Missouri at
number four and Florida
at number five. Sports Illustrated predicts Ohio
State in yet another BCS Title game
against Georgia.
They also predict another outright Big Ten title for the Bucks despite a 7-1
conference record. SI “experts” also place James Laurinaitis and Chris wells on
the pre-season All-American team.
