What has been your most memorable moment as an Ohio State Buckeye to this point in your career?
“There are so many things that have happened with my first two years at Ohio State and with this year’s team. Of course the final four is in a league of its own, but the things that people do not see behind the scenes when our team is getting closer come in a close second.”
How would you compare the Big Ten to this point versus your expectations?
“I have not had a chance to watch all of the Big Ten teams play, but I think that if we continue to improve as we have over the last month, we should be able to compete. From what I have seen thus far, our level of talent is able to compete against anyone in the league.”
Jamar Butler seems to have taken over the leadership role on the team, how do you feel about his play this year?
“Jamar has been an on the court leader by example from the first day I arrived on campus. He competes day in and day out refusing to take days off. He has used his experiences from his first three years to improve his game and continue to get better. There is a reason why he has improved so much from year to year and continually shoots the ball at a high percentage, practice and confidence.”
What future game you looking forward to the most?
“Coach Matta has taught us that you cannot look pass opponents and must focus on the next game. That is how teams get beat and take teams lightly which we cannot do in the Big Ten.”
Does the road game to Tennessee appear to be a good challenge for yourself and the team?
“Right now we are focused on Michigan State. We are fighting for first place in the Big Ten and cannot afford to look past them.”
How do you see the Buckeyes finishing this season?
“We will see what happens. If we continue to improve as we have the last month and a half, it should be exciting.”
