National Letter of Intent Signing Day

Terrelle Pryor is a Buckeye.

National Letter of Intent Signing Day

The day that all recruiting fanatics can't wait for, National Letter of Intent Signing Day has arrived as high school prospects all across the country sign with their schools of choice. We take a look at the top five prospects still undecided but considering Ohio State.

Terrelle Pryor - Quarterback

Jeannette High School Jeannette, PA
6'6" 225lbs 4.40 secs

The #1 recruit in the nation by many recruiting ranking services. He plays basketball in addition to football at Jeannette. He took his football team to the State Championship this season. Has been recruited by Ohio State for over a year. He has become good friends with many of the 2008 Ohio State class including Michael Brewster, JB Shugarts, Andrew Sweat and Devier Posey. He was looking at Pittsburgh and Penn State early and has been looking at Michigan and Oregon late. May delay his announcement beyond National Letter of Intent Signing Day but is scheduled to announce at 12:05 Wednesday on ESPN(U).

Josh Jenkins.jpg

Josh Jenkins - Offensive Guard

Parkersburg High School Parkersburg, WV
6'3.5" 303lbs

The best offensive guard in the country and he has been friends with the other three 2008 Ohio State lineman since early in the process. Has visited Ohio State a number of times and was part of the recruits on campus for the Spring Game back in 2007. He was committed to West Virginia but de-committed when Rich Rodriguez left for Michigan. Still considers West Virginia to be one of his top two choices along with Ohio State. Visited Florida State recently but has eliminated the Seminoles. He will make a final decision around 9am tomorrow at his high school.

Brandon Harris.jpg

Brandon Harris - Corberback

Booker T. Washington Miami, FL
5'10" 175lbs 4.45 secs

Played in the Under Armor High School All American Bowl and developed a friendship with Andrew Sweat. His father is the head coach at Booker T Washington and has helped Brandon a lot in scheduling visits and determining the best schools. Rumors are that he is down to Miami University and Ohio State. But the rumors have also been for a long time that he is going to Miami in the end. We will find out tomorrow at 1:05 pm on one of the ESPN channels.

Orhian Johnson.jpg

Orhian Johnson - Quarterback/Safety

Boca Ciega Gulfport, FL
6'4" 190lbs 4.55 secs

Not one of the stars of the recruiting world as his rankings are not inline with Pryor, Jenkins, or Harris but Coach Tressel has liked him from fairly early on for his athletic ability. There has been discussion if he had a scholarship offer or didn't have a scholarship offer but that was put to rest when Orhian came to visit Ohio State officially and Coach Tressel subsequently visited him in home within the past two weeks. Indiana and South Florida are the other two schools he has interest in. It might come down to playing Quarterback at another school or playing Safety at Ohio State for Orhian. Will make a selection near 11:30 on Wednesday.

Dawawn Whitner.jpg

Dawawn Whitner - Defensive Lineman

Glenville Cleveland, OH
6'2" 310lbs 5.06 secs

Another Glenville standout who just happens to be the little brother of Ohio State alumni Donte Whitner. He has offers from West Virginia, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan State, and Minnesota. Could join teammates Jermil Martin and Shawntel Rowell at Ohio State as a last minute verbal or a non-scholarship walk-on. He loves Ohio State and the family has the money to pay tuition with Donte in the NFL. Glenville will hold a signing ceremony in the afternoon at the high school.
